This Lotus Mark VI owned by Patrick Dennis was spotted at the Wheels Across the Pond show in Jupiter, Fla. in April. The Mark VI is the first production Lotus car introduced by Colin Chapman back in 1952. It was the first Lotus to compete outside of England, and the first to be imported into North America. Dennis’s Mark VI, POP 444, was first owned by author Ian H. Smith, who raced it mostly in hill climbs. This Mark VI will be spotlighted at LOG 42’s headquarters hotel.
David Hobbs, the famous race car driver and past NBC commentator, was seen at the Amelia Island Concours in March. He will be the featured guest speaker at the LOG’s Saturday night banquet.
So, if you haven’t seen a Mark VI or met racing celebrity David Hobbs, come to LOG 42 in Knoxville, Tennessee this coming August 25.
