Arnie Johnson Tribute No. 34

I first met Arnie back in the early 80’s. Even though I had 6 of the older model Lotuses, luckily I didn’t need Arnie’s technical expertise. At LOGs we mostly discussed Lotus USA sponsorship. As years passed, our chats revolved around family, gardening and other non-lotus topics. Many discussions centered around horses, because both his daughter Jenn and I have horse interests. Back in 1994 when I was severely injured in a car accident and lost internal body parts. I received a get well card from Arnie. As a die-hard lotus enthusiast, getting a greeting from the CEO of Lotus, was similar to receiving a get well card from the President of the US. I couldn’t believe his kindness and thoughtfulness. But that’s Arnie… a big heart!
