LOG44 Contests
In addition to the concours awards for the cars, LOG 44 features several contests for the attendees. Bring along your photos, models and arts & crafts to enter. If you donât have a car or it isnât running yet, this still gives you a chance to be involved.
Two Photo Categories: 5x7in or smaller and 8x10in or larger.
Photos can be black and white or color. They should somehow involve or invoke Lotus. Each photo is a separate entry although a series of two or three photos that show the same theme is acceptable as one entry and should be displayed in some way to make this clear. Photos need not be framed or matted as we are not judging frames, although in the case of larger photos an inexpensive poster type frame does make transportation and display much easier. People have printed photos from their phone at the hotel front desk and won with them.
Two Model Categories: Smaller than 1/25 scale and 1/25 scale or larger.
You can enter a single model, several models in a single theme (maybe all Elans) or a diorama showing something Lotus oriented. You can enter models scratch built, kit built, ready built, diecasts you purchased and painted, models your children built, and if the model is of your car, a photo of your car displayed with it is a great idea. It goes without saying that all models should be of Lotus vehicles.
Arts & Crafts
If it isnât a photo and it isnât a model, then it probably fits into the Arts & Crafts contest. This can be pretty much anything youâve done that is Lotus related. A needlepoint of the Lotus emblem, an F1 Lotus built out of Popsicle sticks, a macramĂ© car cover, handmade Lotus jewelry or a belt buckle. Maybe a ceramic tile done up in a Lotus motif. If youâve dreamed up something that you crafted, Lotus related, bring it and enter it. I have always thought that the Lotus emblem fashioned from M&Ms would be spectacular.
How to Enter
Drop off and register your entries Friday from 12 noon on, pick up your entries Saturday after 5PM or when the banquet ends. If you have won a contest in the past with a particular entry, please enter a different item to give everyone a chance.

You almost made it to LOG in your Lotus but external forces intervened along the way. This is your place to write up the adventure and maybe gather sympathy and a trophy.
Two Longest Distance Travelled Awards, Pre 1980 Lotus and 1980 onward Lotus
The longest distance driven (not trailered) in a Lotus will be awarded to the person driving the furthest from their home base directly to the LOG site.
