The 2025 Lotus Ltd Elections are now finished.
Ross Robbins for President (running unopposed)
Iām Ross Robbins and I am running for President of Lotus Ltd.
I’ve been a Lotus guy since I started racing one with Rocky Mountain Vintage Racing in 1994. I quickly bought into the Lotus āreligion.ā I have been part of five LOG teams, chairing one. I have owned 14 different Lotus cars, driven more than four times across the country in a Lotus and written four books about my adventures in Lotus cars.
Elected last year to be a Director at Large, it seems appropriate to now officially run for leadership of the club that has provided such enjoyment for me for over 25 years. In the short time I have been on the board, we have instituted a mission statement that changes the intent of Lotus Ltd. to better focus on supporting the local chapters. We now have a new direction and several new faces with energy and intent to make the dues you pay provide a better return of benefits. Our activities are already broadening; we ought to keep the momentum going.
We have made significant changes behind the scenes to put the club in good order and now need to increase support, outreach and benefits to our local chapters. I want to be a part of finishing the implementation of this change for a single two-year term. I am asking for your vote and for you to enlist anyone who can, to also vote for me for your President.
Thanks
Ross Robbins
Karl Evans for Treasurer (running unopposed)
Iām a long time Lotus and Colin Chapman fan, especially his adage of āadding lightnessā.
Being first smitten with the Europa and then the Esprit, I finally bought my first Lotus, a chrome orange Elise four years ago. I soon found the LOOT group and Chris Lindley and began driving the car as it was designed to be driven. To say sublime would be an understatement.
My qualifications for Treasurer? I love numbers, Excel, and analyzing things. I have performed analytical modeling most of my adult life, most recently in Airline Consulting where I optimized airline networks for small and large international airlines to increase profit by making network and fleet changes. I have an undergraduate degree in Accounting from Duquesne University and a graduate degree in Finance and Marketing Research from Carnegie Mellon University. I can also program in SAS.
It is my sincere desire to work with other board members to grow our Lotus club.
Cora Gregorie for Corresponding Secretary (running unopposed)
I have been involved with Lotus Ltd. from almost the beginning. Iām member 18 and have been a director for most of the 50 years that the club has been in existence. Most of the time my title has been Corresponding Secretary. I have contributed in many areas of club administration and my home acts as the home office of Lotus Ltd . I have been involved in the organization of all 43 LOG events. I feel I have a few more years to volunteer my services to the club.
Mark Franke for Director at Large
Folks,
I am running for a position on the board after being the volunteer for Lotus Ltd LOG sponsorship for the last three years.
Over the last three years, we have more than increased sponsorship by 500% with the help of other members on the board.
Prior to joining the board, I cofounded the Northern Virginia Lotus car club and have served as its president for the last 12 years. Our organization holds multiple events a year. Including a twice a year āget your Lotusā out. We usually attract between 30 and 35 cars. We have a large membership base as well.
In my professional life, I was an ER physician for 25 years. I am now on my second attempt at retirement and continue to teach paramedics and volunteer. I have served on multiple hospital and volunteer organization boards in leadership positions.
My goal for joining the board would be to continue my work in sponsorship, but also reinvigorate Lotus limited, encouraging new and younger membership. Particularly with a new wave of vehicles being released we have an incredible opportunity to expand our membership base and our outreach and activities at the local level.
I am comfortable working with Board and look forward to see where Lotus Ltd charts its course in the future.
Sincerely,
Mark Franke
Dawn Janacek for Director at Large
While most girls were playing with Barbies, I was racing Hot Wheels and building with Tonka trucks. By age 9, I was changing my dadās oil and had fallen in love with all things automotive. Born and raised in San Antonio, Texas, I became the first woman promoted to a parts counter in the city and was managing a GMC body shop by 25. In college, I switched to IT for better pay but never left my love for cars (or driving way too fast) behind. After driving a Lotus Elise at a former job, I knew it was the car for me, and now I own an ā06 in saffron yellow.
Since joining Lotus Ltd, Iāve been passionate about supporting and advancing our community, and as part of the team for Austin LOG 43, I contributed to event planning and coordination. My years of experience in IT and project management, combined with my work alongside current board members, have equipped me with skills that would be an asset as your Director at Large. Together with our excellent board, Iām dedicated to ensuring the future success of LOG and look forward to creating more memorable experiences for our members. I would be honored to have your vote.
Chris Lindley for Director at Large
Hello, Iām Chris Lindley, and Iām excited to be running for the Director at Large position on the Lotus Ltd. board. Iāve been serving on the board for three yearsāfirst as a Director and then as Treasurer over the last two. My focus is all about creating a great experience for Lotus Ltd. members.
Currently, Iām President of Lotus Owners of Texas, and during the summers, I drive with Lotus Colorado and plan monthly events. This September, I had the honor of chairing LOG 43 in Austin, Texas. Iāve been passionate about the brand since 1998 when I bought my first Lotus, an Esprit Turbo SEāand 26 years later, Iām still hooked, now with three Lotus cars in the garage.
Iād appreciate your vote for Director at Large, and I look forward to continuing to support and grow this amazing club!
Sincerely,
Chris Lindley
Jim Roberts for Director at Large
In 2005 because I was racing a Lotus 47 and having a background of 35 years of racing and Performance Driving in Germany and the U.S. Lotus, Ltd asked me to serve as Driving Skills Director to sort out ātrack dayā events which were rather chaotic at the time.
I was able to establish an education format which has resulted in no injuries or serious damage to cars.
By virtue of my similar position with MBCA I have been able to secure MBCA track event insurance for Lotus, Ltd.
I have served on the steering committee of 3 LOGs and assisted with 10 others as well as instructed at all the others.
I have also served as Lotus, Ltd Recording Secretary for 8 years and Treasurer for 4.
I appreciate your support.
Respectfully Submitted,
Jim Roberts, DMD
Lotus, Ltd Driving Skills Director
